Bahia Bustamante

Founded by Don Lorenzo Soriano in 1953 to farm seaweed, Bahia Bustamante contains an exclusive look into an exhilarating reserve of biodiversity, complete with deserts, white beaches, a petrified forest, and beautiful blue waters. Visitors can expect an intimate experience, as Soriano only allows up to eighteen guests to explore the rich lands of Bahia Bustamante at a time. Nature-lovers and animal enthusiasts can spend their days horseback riding along the coast, kayaking, hiking, sailing, or learning about the seaweed industry and the farmlife of Soriano's private sheep farm. Often compared to the Galapagos Islands due to its wide diversity of species, ranging from flamingos to penguins and lizards to sea lions, Bahia Bustamante offers a similar isolated ecosystem experience without the high tourist traffic.
